【学术报告】Physics and phenomena in sequential quantum channels

讲座内容:

The most general evolutions of open quantum systems are described by completely positive and trace-preserving maps, also called quantum channels. In this talk, I will introduce our recent works that explore interesting physics and phenomena arising in sequential quantum channels, either without or with feedback control. In the former case without feedback control, I will discuss the construction of arbitrary projective measurements with repetitive generalized measurements, the prediction and observation of metastability in repetitive channels, the channel spectrum measurement and its application in quantum sensing. In the latter case with feedback control, I will discuss the channel-based framework for adaptive quantum phase estimation alogorithms, and its application to error detection of bosonic quantum error correction codes.


主讲人介绍:

马稳龙,中国科学院半导体所研究员、博士生导师,中国科学院大学岗位教授。2015年在中科院半导体所获得博士学位,2015年2020年先后在香港中文大学、耶鲁大学和芝加哥大学做博士后研究, 2020年12月加入中科院半导体所,2021年入选国家海外高层次青年人才。研究领域为量子物理和量子信息理论,聚焦固态量子系统,研究兴趣包括量子耗散与退相干、量子控制与测量、量子纠错与可容错操控、量子精密测量和量子算法等,在Physical Review Letters、Nature Physics、Nature Communications 等期刊上发表论文近30篇。
